The Stampede String Chin Strap isn’t only for ranchers working cattle on the open range. Anyone who wants to keep their hat from blowing away will find it useful. Featuring a sliding knot that joins together two, four plait braids of leather, this chin cord/strap is practical and looks great!

How it works: Two cotter pins slide between the sweatband and the hat body. Once bent, they provide a secure attachment of the stampede string.

Manufacturer Instructions for Use:

1. Hold the cotter pins tightly together and push them through the stitching where the sweatband meets the body. 
2. Pull the pins completely through the base of the sweatband until the braid is firmly against the sweatband. 
3. Spread the pins outward, as close to horizontal as possible. 
4. Check by tugging on the braid.
